Pennsylvania’s Trade and Investment Office in Taiwan is proud to participate in University of Pittsburgh’s (Pitt) alumni meeting coinciding with the arrival of an academic delegation from Pitt.
Each of the delegates presented their area of research and expertise, including:

  • James Cook, Ph.D. Associate Director, UCIS Asian Studies Center
  • Linda Lieu, Assistant Director for Partnerships & Programming, UCIS
  • Kirsten Strayer, Ph.D. Programming Director for SCREENSHOT: Asia Film Festival, UCIS
  • Catherine Fratto, Outreach Coordinator, UCIS
  • Shi-yung Liu (劉士永) Ph.D., Center Associate, UCIS Asian Studies Center

Our Director, Liran Golan, made the opening remarks at the start of the event.
He welcomed the delegation and recognized Pitt alumni members’ contributions, both in greater Taiwan and in Taipei City, by holding top positions in government, corporate and academic institutions.
“This is the best way to demonstrate Pitt’s academic prowess and excellence,” Director Golan remarked.
